Welcome to Impactos

St. Ann 354

St. Ann’s Mission is a truly special parish as it is a living example of a Christian community. This fascinating community is the spiritual home for thousands of immigrants primarily from Mexico who find in their Catholic Church a piece of their homeland where they can express themselves not only as Christians, but through music, dance, and in sharing their food. Monsignor Pedro Garcia leads them spiritually and morally. He is their main supporter and enthusiast; without a doubt, the community loves him dearly for the missionary work and dedication to this community.

During our last Impacto at St. Ann’s Mission, we experienced the love of God through the people who attended and served the Impacto. Everyone was welcomed, appreciated, accepted and made at home as the warmth and love of that community was felt in the sincerity and humbleness of their people. Also, meals times where very special as we flavored authentic Mexican dishes.

God blessed us with nine families who attended the retreat. By Sunday afternoon their testimonies where filled with hope and gratitude. They expressed their eagerness to love each other and to stay united with Jesus Christ at the center of their family life.

A special thanks to those families who served during at this retreat:

What is Impactos?

Impactos is an Apostolic Catholic program that is recognized by the Archidiocese of Miami and the Dioceses of Orlando and Venice. The program's main objective is to offer an alternative parenting life style based on the Christian faith.

Impactos helps to fill a void between families and parishes by helping families get started on the path towards God and the Church. As a family program, Impactos sends a message of love to families independent of their religious creed and beliefs and opens a path to personal conversion by planting a desire for change in the couples that attend the weekend program. The Impactos is a true "impact" that motivates the couples that attend to be more mature as parents, as persons and as a couple.

Impactos offers a weekend program as well as other activities. The children who assist the weekend program have a series of activities that helps them understand what a family is all about, the role of parents and children at home as well as God's role within the family. Impacto offers today's family a modern, courageous and Christian alternative lifestyle.

The weekend program creates the proper atmosphere for sincere dialogue between spouses, by way of a very interesting program of talks about marriage and the family. Impacto gives you the opportunity to better understand your children during the important character forming years.

Our program is designed for couples with children between the ages of three and eleven. Couples with children under the age of three may attend without their children. Parents-to-be are also invited to participate.

We sincerely invite you to participate in a beautiful and wothwhile experience that will help you to better understand your role as parent and spouse. We hope to see you at our next Impactos or at any of our family oriented activities.
